broadcast audio system

In my time at Kansas Wesleyan University as Athletics Live Video Producer and Head of R&D, I built a networked audio system. The system used Dante as its main audio transport with BSS Soundweb London products for processing. It was controlled via a single laptop over the network, and could be controlled and monitored with an iPad. A stagebox, notably the Yamaha Tio-1608D2 was deployed wherever the broadcasters sat, whether this be at the scorer’s table, or in the booth at the stadium. The stagebox had 16 inputs and 8 outputs. This allowed the system to have two-way communication separate from the broadcast, all over Dante.

data parsers

Another project at Kansas Wesleyan was my data parsers, I programmed one for football and one for basketball, they enabled live game stats to be displayed on the stream. These were coded in Python and pulled from either an FTP server containing the stat file, or a local file share.
